For example, the semiconductor technology was applied in various consumer devices, such as DVDs, CDs, and mobile phones. As a result, it had over 50 billion yen in sales annually.<\/p>\r\n

Through the continued promotion of R&D related to the plasma display technology, Panasonic became a world leader. By promoting strategic initiatives such as a joint development project with NHK, and a few acquisitions, it led to annual sales of over several hundreds of billions of yen. With the success of the plasma display, the concept of \u201centrepreneurial engineering,\u201d was born.<\/p>\r\n

Mr. Kano was the first to launch real-world applications in the realm of academics at Kochi University of Technology for almost 20 years.<\/p>\r\n
